The Trawler takes pride in sourcing as much of our produce locally as is possible. Our meat products are supplied by our local butcher, Grants, who provide us with succulent quality steaks and burgers. We use West Coast Scottish Scampi, Calamari and Queen Scallops from Bannermans, which they produce on their own premises in Tain. Colbeck supply us with Cod and Haddock from sustainable fishing grounds in the North Atlantic and Barents Sea.
The potatoes are sourced from specialist growers in the East Anglia and Lincolnshire areas of England for 9 months of the year. The soils and climatic conditions in that area of England suit the growing of frying potatoes. For the remaining 3 summer months, our potatoes are sourced directly from a grower in the Catalonian region of Spain.
We also make our own Golspie Smoked Salmon and Haddock Fish Cakes which are definitely worth a try!
